ပအိုဝ္းအမိ်ဳးသားဖြံ႕ျဖိဳးတိုးတက္ေရးေကာ္မီတီ


Organisation Background
The Pa-O National Development Community (PNDC) is non-profit Community Base Organization and officially established on 26 October 2013. Organization headquarter is located in Ho Pone township, Taunggyi Province, Shan State, Burma and secondary headquarter is in Htong Kong Mu Village, Mae Hong Son, Thailand. Organization’s operational sites are Shan State, Karenni State, Karen State, Mon State and Pago Division, Myanmar.
At present the PNDO is run by 33 staff members including 1 Chairman, 1 general secretary, 1 secretary (1), 1 secretary (2), 9 department, 20 officers. (See organization chart attached)

Vision
• Improving standard of life of Pa-O people

Mission
• Providing humanitarian assistant to Pa-O people and other ethnic people
• Ensuring the essential health, education and social need of target populations
• Promoting to preserve traditional and cultural heritage of Pa-O people and other ethnic people.

Goal
• Improve education, health and social wellbeing of target population.

Target Areas
• Thai-Myanmar Border Area
• Internally Displace Area (IDP)
• Shan State, Karen State, Kayah State, Mon State and Pago Division in Myanmar

Objectives
1. Ensure that at least 70% of the children ages 3 to 18 years from target areas have access to formal and informal education in Myanmar and Thailand.
2. Ensure that at least 150 students from target population access to Higher Education opportunities.
3. At least 80% of target population practice healthy behaviors such as Hygiene and sanitations practice, Boiled drinking water, use pure flush latrines, reduce use of drug and alcohols, etc…
4. Ensure more and more communities start to respect each other’s rights, each community stands up for its own rights, and communities obey the common rules and regulations.
5. Ensure to increase up to 80% of targeted community population (a) wear their own ethnic clothes, (b) speak their own language and (c) able to read and write in their own language.
6. Ensure needed donation for IDP to survive.
7. Promote the green framing by biological fertilizers at the family and villages level.
8. Promote community health status by ensuring target population practice health prevention and health living habits.
